Immediate opening: die-casting operator (Pennsylvania)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Adams County, Pennsylvania. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards We offer $2,500 per month plus benefits.
