We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in Fall River County, South Dakota. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor On the job you will handle: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
