Immediate opening: we are hiring a bricklayer in Appanoose County, Iowa. Your main tasks: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
