Power float operator — Lowndes County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a power float operator in Lowndes County, Alabama. You should have: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules The role involves: • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
