Great opportunity: we are hiring a moulder in Chemung County, New York. You will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
