Vacancy available: we are hiring a stitching operator in South Gloucestershire, England. The role involves change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes. What we are looking for: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Six days a week, one day off.
