Now hiring: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Fayette County, Indiana. Day-to-day duties: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching Requirements: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
