What we are looking for: • Driving licence for travel between sites • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Day-to-day duties: • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
