Shakeout operator • Deaf Smith County, Texas

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Deaf Smith County, Texas. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry On a typical shift you will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture.
