Restoration bricklayer — Kalawao County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Kalawao County, Hawaii. Day to day you will buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
