Crane rigger — Washoe County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a crane rigger in Washoe County, Nevada. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. On a typical shift you will check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads. What we are looking for: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Part-time with flexible hours.
