Now hiring: milling machine operator (Kentucky)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Nelson County, Kentucky. You will be based at a busy machine shop. Requirements: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces Day-to-day duties: • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines Six days a week, one day off.
