Shakeout operator — Queens County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Queens County, New York. You will work on the moulding line. Day to day you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
