Immediate opening: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Sangamon County, Illinois. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test The role involves control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness. 3+ years on the tools preferred. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
