Mechanical press operator — Grundy County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Grundy County, Iowa. You will be based in a forging and pressing unit. What we are looking for: • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred On a typical shift you will top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; set up and change stamping dies and tooling; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $2,500 per month, based on your experience. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
