Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets On a typical shift you will spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser. 4+ years on the tools preferred. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
