Brick and block layer — Lauderdale County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Lauderdale County, Tennessee. You will work at a groundworks and structures site. On a typical shift you will buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. You should have: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage $7,500 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
