Gas metal arc welder — Hart County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Hart County, Kentucky. You will be based at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. The role involves: • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints You should have: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Willing to work shifts and overtime Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
