Vacancy available: we are hiring a furnace operator in Bell County, Texas. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Day-to-day duties: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes 2+ years on the tools preferred.
