Vacancy available: bricklayer (South Dakota)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a bricklayer in Kingsbury County, South Dakota. The job is on a busy housing site. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Day to day you will buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod.
