Now hiring: we are hiring a laundry presser in Wilkes County, North Carolina. You will keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics. Requirements: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Rotating shifts.
