Trowel-trade bricklayer wanted in Barnstable County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Barnstable County, Massachusetts. Your main tasks: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod You should have: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $15 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
