Structural MIG welder — The Scottish Borders

Now hiring: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in The Scottish Borders, Scotland. The job is on a structural steel site. Requirements: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Willing to work shifts and overtime The role involves set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer £3,150 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
