Core maker — Escambia County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in Escambia County, Alabama. Your main tasks: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
