Shakeout operator • Hancock County, Indiana

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Hancock County, Indiana. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day to day you will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
