Mechanical press operator — North Somerset

Vacancy available: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in North Somerset, England. You will work in a sheet metal stamping unit. Day to day you will feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; record output and downtime on the production sheet. What we are looking for: • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
