Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Uinta County, Wyoming. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Day to day you will feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; carry out 6G pipe welds where required.
