Immediate opening: we are hiring a D6/D8 dozer operator in Etowah County, Alabama. The job is on a dam or embankment job. Day-to-day duties: • Maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear • Strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse • Form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle • Cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes Ideal candidate: • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
