Machinist — Mifflin County

Now hiring: we are hiring a machinist in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. The job is on an export house sewing floor. On a typical shift you will stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. You should have: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory 3+ years on the tools preferred.
