Precision welder — Woodson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a precision welder in Woodson County, Kansas. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints Requirements: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium 2+ years on the tools preferred.
