Crane operator — The Scottish Borders

Immediate opening: we are hiring a crane operator in The Scottish Borders, Scotland. You will be based at a container port and shipping yard. The role involves: • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block You should have: • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
