Now hiring: we are hiring a beldar in Saint Clair County, Illinois. You will work on a metro and infrastructure project. Your main tasks: • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days You should have: • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
