Now hiring: we are hiring a pressman in Inyo County, California. You should have: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Day-to-day duties: • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
