Great opportunity: hand presser (Alaska)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a hand presser in Lake and Peninsula Borough, Alaska. You will be based at a garment factory. You should have: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep The role involves: • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments Pay around $2,500 per month, based on your experience.
