Great opportunity: we are hiring an overhead (EOT) crane operator in Telfair County, Georgia. The job is at a shipbuilding yard. Day-to-day duties: • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure You should have: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging Rotating shifts.
