Vacancy available: we are hiring a moulder in Warren County, Virginia. Your main tasks: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
