Immediate opening: foundry worker (Ohio)

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry worker in Wyandot County, Ohio. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal The role involves: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Full-time with occasional weekends.
