Gas service engineer — Bibb County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Bibb County, Georgia. You will be based on residential and apartment building sites. You should have: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Driving licence for travel between sites The role involves: • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes $16 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
