Baker — Atkinson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a baker in Atkinson County, Georgia. You will be based at a neighbourhood confectionery. On the job you will handle: • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials Requirements: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
