Vacancy available: we are hiring a laundry presser in Hartley County, Texas. The job is at a textile finishing unit. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Day-to-day duties: • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
