Sewing machine operator — Russell County

Join our team: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Russell County, Alabama. You will work on an export house sewing floor. Requirements: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams You will press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift. Pay around $28 per hour, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Share your details and we will call you back.
