Immediate opening: we are hiring a refrigeration technician in Smyth County, Virginia. The job is on a customer's rooftop chiller plant. On the job you will handle: • Trace electrical circuits with a multimeter • Braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter • Charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight • Check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge You should have: • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints 5+ years on the tools preferred.
