Shakeout operator — Green County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Green County, Kentucky. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Your main tasks: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
