Now hiring: we are hiring a lorry driver in Champaign County, Illinois. On the job you will handle: • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading • Reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules Ideal candidate: • Willing to take on night and multi-day trips • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel Part-time with flexible hours.
