Vacancy available: we are hiring a banksman in Milam County, Texas. You will work at a shipyard. On the job you will handle: • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit Requirements: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles 4+ years on the tools preferred.
