Lifting rigger — Surry County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Surry County, North Carolina. Day to day you will take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads. What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Part-time with flexible hours.
