Ironing operator — Jackson County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an ironing operator in Jackson County, West Virginia. The job is in a garment export house. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases On the job you will handle: • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Give each garment a final press before packing • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron Performance bonus on top of base pay.
