We are recruiting: we are hiring a moulder in Lincoln County, Kansas. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Day to day you will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle.
