Elevator repair technician — Douglas County

Now hiring: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Douglas County, Kansas. The job is in a machine room on the rooftop. You will respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; run load and overload tests with test weights; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts. You should have: • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate 1+ years on the tools preferred.
