JCB operator • Klickitat County, Washington

Now hiring: we are hiring a JCB operator in Klickitat County, Washington. The job is in an open-cast mine. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles • Keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook Requirements: • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
